Job Description
Overview: As a Vulnerability Management Coordinator, you will manage the Vulnerability Management Program per defined scope, where you will work in identifying, documenting, and resolving IT security vulnerabilities. Additionally, you will help coordinate and maintain patching timelines for all supported platforms as well as support the IT Operations teams as necessary. This position involves project management, understanding client business/workflows, client relationship management and synchronizing with system managers for implementation of identified remediation plans.

The person in this role will be asked to communicate promptly and professionally; keep detailed, organized records; and interface with representatives from other business areas throughout the enterprise. An eagerness to learn, personable demeanor, and an ability to work in a team environment, in order to ensure all key objectives for the vulnerability program are accomplished on-time.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for measuring and driving operational excellence as well as benefits realization via key performance indicators (KPIs).
Manage client relationships and will drive implementation of projects and other initiatives.
Apply technical writing skills to create formal documentation such as analytical reports and briefings.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
Coordinate and assist with the management and remediation IT Security Vulnerabilities across all platforms.
Work with Clients and Vulnerability Management Engineers to identify and raise awareness of impacting bugs and/or issues and drive the appropriate prioritization for fixes and/or responses.
Manage Service Now ticket queue and fulfill occasional requests.
Record and maintain patching schedules.
Compile and maintain status reports on progress, to be distributed to and discussed with key partners.
Follow up with task owners to get updates of assigned work.
Host and drive meetings with key partners, while maintaining detailed meeting and agenda notes.
Manage execution of vulnerability management controls, programs, and standards.
Manage execution and distribution vulnerability assessments and reports.
Generate reports and trending charts.
Compile and maintain status reports on progress.
Assist team with escalations to business stakeholders to ensure risk is remediated appropriately and in a timely manner.
Manage the vulnerability exception request process for managed systems.
Propose, implement, and document process improvements.
Deliver large, highly complex projects, often involving operating constraints and the coordination of activities of other business units.
Able to sensitively manage client escalations and drive to resolution.
Able to direct and manage others in support of organizational goals and timelines.
Change request management for all patching activities.
Qualifications:
BS or above in related Information Technology field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Lean Six Sigma, PMP and/or CISSP certification preferred.
Familiarity with common vulnerabilities and associated CVEs.
Experience with ITSM solutions such as ServiceNow and delivering on SLAs.
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.), SharePoint and email.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong research, project management, writing, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
The ability to take direction and to work independently while performing detailed work in a high-paced, dynamic environment; and handle multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a professional attitude and demeanor
Understands and respects chain of command in a professional work environment.
Critical thinking and ability to balance security requirements with mission needs.
Ability to quickly grasp how new technologies work and how they might be applied to achieve business goals.
