We are looking for a VP Controller to work alongside innovative finance leaders from the Philippine and ASEAN region. As head for the accounting operations for the Philippines, you get to lead a dynamic team of site controllers and legal and compliance team.
If you are a licensed CPA with at least 10 years of strong track record as a Financial Controller in a fast-paced multi-national, manufacturing company, then bring your expertise and handle the accounting operations for the whole Philippines, for an international conglomerate.
To succeed in the role, you will need to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:
General and Cost Accounting
Provides leadership over plant general and cost accounting operations
Provides analysis and metrics of operating results and support operations management with appropriate analysis as basis for decision and direction
Budget Administration, Monitoring and Control
Provides direction in the preparation of cost center budgets and implements monitoring and control measures to ensure optimized cost of operation
Leads in the profit optimization or cost reduction programs implemented by the company
Design and implement cost control procedure
Accounting Policy and Procedure Administration
Serves as the originator and guardian of the company's accounting policies and administers such with clarity throughout the organization
Reviews and updates the policies and procedures on a timely and regular basis
Disseminates changes to procedures and provides proactive guidance to operating units affected by such changes
Internal Control Compliance
Defines effective internal control procedures in the entire organization
Drives the awareness and educates each member of the organization on proper internal controls
Leads in the compliance and resolution of issues resulting from operational and financial audits
Reports to management internal control violations and recommends corrective measures
Tax Planning & Compliance
Provides leadership in the company's tax optimization and compliance requirement
Responsible for optimizing tax payments by planning and implementing a tax strategy. Reviews prevalent tax provisions, identify areas of opportunity, analyze all possible implications and implement defined scheme
Educates and communicates to each operating division on the tax strategy applied and monitors the appropriate requirements from each division
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of the company's tax declarations and filings
Manages all tax compliance audits and builds effective relationships with the government authorities and agencies involved
Manages tax payments including tax credit certificates
Responsible for identification, application and maximization of applicable incentives
Accounting System and Records Management
Administer, maintain and control the accounting system in collaboration with Information System Group
Responsible for ensuring that sufficient control exists within the accounting system to minimize occurrence of errors and irregularities
Manages the transaction documentation and financial records of the company
Responsible for ensuring compliance to applicable data and document retention requirement
Accounting Compliance
Responsible for preparation of audited Financial statements compliant with applicable generally accepted accounting principles
Ensures compliance of the financials with local and national requirements
Leadership
Provides leadership in strengthening current accounting team skills and capabilities fit for the requirement of the organization creating above average team
