In partnership with non-profit NGOs in the Philippines, our office Is marshaling an effort to abate the economic hardship inflicted on displaced workers in the Philippines. This Open.edu initiative aims to retool those workers that are viable to do so, to pursue remote-work careers from home.
Currently, we are prioritizing the following candidates that meet these criteria: First, Reprioritizing those that have professional experience with teaching online, whether as a corporate trainer or as a board-certified educator. Second, we are weighing heavily on those that have experience with the open source Moodle Education platform.
The volunteer writer will not only be task to write but will also be tasked to upload and publish content on a number of educational content management systems.
The first most important minimum requirements for this volunteer position is that the candidate have adequate equipment and hardware as well as Internet accidents at his or her home. part of the interview will entail an assessment of the applicant's hardware and Internet speed. The applicant should have a sort of "home office," from which they can work securely, and video conference from without environmental disruption (loud noises).
A second key minimum requirement of the applicant falls under "soft skills." This area encompasses not only communication skills but "people skills" as well. A significant portion of our interview and screening process will focus on assessing the candidate's soft skills.
