Job Intention
Provide strong visa coordination and immigration services for clients and ensure that the implementation of strategies and tactical plans achieve the client's objectives. This will primarily include:
Coordinating visa application files from initiation to completion, under supervision of an Australian Legal Practitioner.
Liaise with client Human Resources and individual clients.
Being a point of contact for individual clients, providing excellent customer service.
Handling client inquiries when they arise, responding in accordance with agreed service levels.
Proactively seeking to understand the needs of the client and providing relevant solutions.
Collaborating with the Legal Team to offer best-in-class solutions to clients.
Develop a confident working knowledge of Australian visa application procedure
Preparing decision-ready visa applications (where possible) and accompanying documents for sign off by a Legal Practitioner.
Other duties as required from time to time.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Preparing decision-ready visa applications (where possible) and accompanying submissions or evidence to the DOHA
Managing casework files from initiation to completion, with supervision where required
Responding to all enquiries according to agreed service levels
Proactively seeking to understand the individual needs of the client or the commercial objectives of the business
Maintaining a confident knowledge of migration law, policy, and our internal current casework guidelines, and contributing your knowledge within the team
Being a point of contact for clients, providing excellent customer service
Requirements
Essential:
Minimum 5 years' proven experience in immigration law, employment law, global talent mobility or legal administration
Strong interest in immigration matters and global mobility particularly in the area of employment-related migration.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
Commitment to high professional standards
Experience in/ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of employment and business-related migration practice and procedure
Ability to work under pressure, manage time and priorities effectively and meet strict deadlines
Ability to work independently and in a team
High level communication and interpersonal skills
Interest in contributing positively to public discourse and policy on immigration
Ability to work within an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment
