VIRTUAL PARALEGAL
Full-Time / Part-Time
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Virtual Paralegal to assist client-lawyers from boutique law firms in North America, New Zealand, Australia, and Europe. The role focuses on legal research, legal writing, document preparation, and administrative support to help lawyers deliver high-quality legal services efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
The Virtual Paralegal will assist client-lawyers with:
Conducting legal and factual research based on client instructions
Drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal documents, letters, reports, memoranda, and case summaries
Preparing research notes, chronologies, summaries, and briefing materials
Organizing case files, documents, evidence, and legal references
Assisting in the preparation of pleadings, contracts, affidavits, correspondence, and other legal documents
Monitoring deadlines, tasks, and follow-ups as assigned by client-lawyers
Maintaining confidentiality of client information and legal matters
Providing reliable remote support across different time zones
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have:
A degree in Law, Legal Management, Political Science, English, or any related field
Strong research, writing, editing, and analytical skills
Excellent command of written and spoken English
Ability to understand legal instructions and produce clear, well-structured outputs
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Professionalism, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote work setup
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in any of the following is an advantage:
Legal research or paralegal work
Drafting legal documents or legal correspondence
Supporting foreign lawyers or international law firms
Familiarity with common law jurisdictions such as the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, or New Zealand
Use of legal research tools, document management systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or project management platforms
