RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Summary
The Video Researcher assists producers in creating content by collecting, and compiling the best video materials for the required news item or VTR
Output Details
Works closely with the Associate Editor (AP) / Segment Producer (SP) in researching and collating various audio-visual materials and graphics requirements of the assigned program, special coverage and/or breaking news report while observing the program concept, branding and equity, and in accordance with production, broadcast and ethical standards
Ensures that the quality of the audio-video materials and graphics meet the standards set for the program
Ensures that edited/mastered and/or gathered video materials and graphics submitted or final edit are fit to be aired Ensures that there is no legal impediments, that the materials possess proper attribution, courtesies, and sourcing, and is in compliance with the INCA Standards and Ethics Manual
Oversees all video editing operations for the program / assigned segment in the absence of the AP/SP Oversees technical work during pre-taping, actual taping and post production/mastering to ensure that various production elements enhance the program's concept through appropriate audio and visual elements when the AP/SP is not around
Ensures adherence to specified call time and participates in the pre-production and post-production meetings of the assigned program.
Performs other related duties as necessary.
