The Video Editor role is to assist the IVT Manager/Producer in handling various aspects of Pre-production, Production, and Post-production of SE Certification videos, Teambuilding Shows, Neurolearning Videos, eMags, Newsletters, and vlogs.
This position helps create, coordinate, manage and integrate all aspects of the SE Certification videos, Team-Talk Shows and Neurolearning videos, eMags, Newsletters, and vlogs produced by the Innovative-Video Team for the Solutions Sales and Engineering Team.
Responsibilities:
Concept Development: assist with creating step-by-step videos and tutorials for the Solution Sales and Engineering team. Assist in creative development and graphic design, and research as needed.
Script Writing and procurement of talent. Assist with the procurement of talent and the production content creation, writing, evaluation, and storyboarding.
Pre-production activities include acquiring templates, graphics, equipment, and other assets needed to create the video.
Production and Recording of Original Content with talent. Using a variety of video and audio, recording software, and video equipment, the Video Editor handles the recording of video and audio with the talent ensuring what is recorded matches the scripts, storyboard, and audio content.
Post-Production: The Video Editor organizes raw footage, edits rough cuts, makes, and adds visual effects, makes color corrections, adds audio, captions, and sound effects, proofs the video, renders the video, and then exports to the proper channels.
The Video Editor Codes the Video to make sure its size and format are optimized for maximum watchability on various devices like smartphones, tablets, and desktops.
Distribute the video by uploading the video to the correct hosting channels on Vimeo, Mission Control, and the Internet.
Video Promotion, the Video Editor, assists with promoting the videos by creating intro and outros, title slides, trailers, and commercials.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in video editing and visual media. Bonus technology and eLearning-related experience
Advanced computer skills using online tools, and Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs. Bonus is experienced with Smartsheets and setting up peripherals.
Experience with various aspects of video Pre-production, Production, and Post-production process
Excellent video editing skills with proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Camtasia, and other video editing skills.
Experiencing sourcing music, sound effects, stock photos, and stock videos from various online libraries.
Great storytelling ability and confidence to own the post-production process for our Team-Talk shows.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to convey and relate ideas and solutions to others.
Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced technical environment
Must have experience conducting presentations and training sessions.
Ability to teach other members of the team.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Research and problem-solving skills using documentation and online resources.
Detail-oriented and an excellent note-taker.
Amenable to work night shift
