JOB SUMMARY
We are searching for a UX writer with the knowledge, skills, experience and passion to design conversations that our users will love. As a crucial part of the product design team, you will ensure we communicate clearly, efficiently and pleasantly with the people who use our products, through a variety of interfaces and channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with our designers, product managers, product owners and engineers to deliver compelling content and communications involving text
Write clear and concise content across multiple touch points, including UI elements such as page copy, labels, navigation, headings and notifications, along with other elements such as emails, in-product help and product tours
Lead and own UX writing / re-writing projects and initiatives across the entire product development lifecycle.
Adopt and evangelize a user-first mindset and ensure that usability and conversational design are at the heart of our in-product communications
Provide input on all elements that require a content strategy perspective throughout the product design and development process
Influence decisions to improve the overall content experience and ensure consistency across platforms
Be effective at managing your own time and work efficiently in parallel on different projects and/or products.
Drive consensus across teams and advocate for content solutions that balance the needs of our different personas and our business goals
Help people who use Inspectorio feel welcome, understood, assisted and empowered, carefully considering tone, and keeping consistent with our EACH values and our mission
Develop content frameworks, product narratives, and other deliverables that explain your recommendations and help people understand the practice of content strategy
Work with other UX designers to understand, maintain and evolve voice and tone guidelines and help evangelize those resources across the company
Approach all of your work with a global mindset, advocating for designs and language that internationalize well
Work with our translations team to improve quality
Share your work with other UX team members, provide feedback on their work, and contribute to the team through mentoring, onboarding, or recruiting
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years professional writing experience, including previous UX writing experience
Experience writing content for web-based and/or mobile products (not just websites)
Experience writing emails, landing pages, or editorial content
Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-­functional partners
Proven ability to articulate content strategy decisions
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Experience writing for a SAAS product is a plus
Portfolio of UX writing and other samples
COMPETENCIES
Excellent writing and editing skills
Interaction design skills a plus
Good understanding of layout and typography
Working knowledge of front-end coding frameworks (HTML, CSS, JS) a plus
Excellent spoken and written English, and excellent communication skills
Passionate about UX writing and continual improvement.
