What is the job?
Responsible for the following
The Senior Accountant 1 will be responsible for overseeing essential financial functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ledger reconciliation. They meticulously document and analyze financial transactions, providing expert guidance to clients regarding their business and financial health.
Job Description:
• Supervising accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger reconciliation, and other Client Account Services (CAS) functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Documenting and analyzing financial transactions and data while reconciling any discrepancies that may arise.
• Preparing adjusting journal entries and assisting clients in maintaining general ledgers, including posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.
• Performing in-depth analysis of assets, liability, and operating activity for clients and recommending necessary updates or modifications.
• Providing expert advice and sound counsel to clients regarding their business and financial health, including areas like liquidity, solvency, profitability, and operating efficiency.
• Summarizing the current financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other client-required reports.
• Forecasting revenue, analyzing profit margins, and making budget and financial recommendations to clients.
• Offering support and guidance to clients on payroll processing and employee benefits.
• Providing tax planning services for clients and preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
• Demonstrating a customer-centric approach by developing and maintaining strong client relationships through ongoing communication and consulting services.
What you bring to the job?
Minimum of four (4) years of accounting experience
Comfortable in working with US-based client
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Proficient in MS Office especially MS Excel (can use Excel basic functions such as simple formulas and produce accounting reports)
Ability to work remotely
Good tenure with previous companies (stays with companies for at least a year)
