Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
Conduct tax planning and consulting services for clients, identifying tax-saving opportunities
Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential tax issues
Assist with tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities, if necessary
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement tax strategies for clients
Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends
Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and effective communication
Working hours: Your working hours will be flexible and in your control, but you will need to ensure you work the minimum hours per week as specified in the contract. You may be asked by the company to align your work hours so that there is a 4-6 hour overlap with the company's timezone.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certification is required
3+ years of experience in public accounting or a CPA firm, with a focus on tax services
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
Experience with tax software (e.g., ProSystem, CCH Axcess) and strong excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Leadership qualities and ability to work effectively in a team environment
