A US SEC Financial Reporting and Accounting Firm seeks a career-oriented individual versed in Public Company Financial Reporting. The Financial Reporting Manager position assists the Partners with all requirements of our Clients' Companies including all filings with the SEC. This position reports to the CEO.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise staff and oversee closing of several companies' books. On a timely basis, analysis specific companies' activities including agreements, resolutions, other documents and record necessary entries to reflect current transactions.
Reconcile and analyze books and records and quickly and efficiently adjust books to reflect GAAP.
Prepare SEC filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, S-1, management discussion and analysis and review of iXBRL while interacting closely with auditors and lawyers. Prepare full financial statements and notes to financials including balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes in stockholders' equity and cash flow statement. Prepare books for monthly and quarterly reporting.
Prepare and review audit supporting schedules and complete disclosure and inquiry checklist for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Analyze and explain differences from previous quarter. Assist in developing accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP. Assist partners with various projects.
Documentation of technical accounting memos for recent accounting pronouncements and complex accounting transactions.
Requirements
At least 3 Years of Full Cycle US Accounting experience including close and financial statements required.
US SEC Reporting experience.
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong work ethic and the willingness to take "ownership" of your tasks.
Bachelor's Degree (Minimum) or Masters in Accounting or CPA required.
Public Accounting / Auditing Background preferred but not required.
Strong Skills in QuickBooks and MS Office Required.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Self-starter with independent decision-making skills
Willing to observe US Eastern Time working hours
