ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Benefits Advisor to be part of our team.
He/She is responsible for providing professional direction on all employees benefit programs and serves as the subject matter expert for management and first point of contact for the employees regarding all employee benefits questions.
He/She is responsible for the monthly benefit reconciliation to assure accurate employee coverage and billing is maintained and works directly with benefit vendors to resolve discrepancies.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist employees with all benefit program questions including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, retirement savings plan, voluntary benefits and leave of absences.
Verifies the accuracy of monthly employee benefits premiums and maintains data in order to track, verify analyze employee benefits-related costs and claim activities.
Handles benefit plan inquiries and complaints that arise. Completes research of appropriate records for information relating to the issues to ensure timely, equitable and courteous resolution.
Responsible for keeping all benefit accounts up-to-date and administered accurately and timely. Maintains insurance accounts. Works closely with payroll to insure proper administration of benefit withholdings and practices. Audits benefit plans for compliance with governmental regulations.
Serves as the subject matter expert for process, administration, and tracking of employee FMLA, workers compensation and other leaves or absences while ensuring compliance with applicable law and company policy.
Supports Human Resources Partner to ensure that employee benefits related paperwork (Form 5500, 1095's etc) is prepared and timely filed with governmental entities as required.
Ensures the successful implementation of new and/or revised benefits programs, including collection of employee information and timely notification to employees of pertinent changes.
Provides reports and analysis to HR Leaders upon request.
Participates in the analysis, collection and maintenance of records as needed by Quality Assurance/Compliance personnel, JCAHO accreditation, OSHA guidelines or as may be required by law
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in human resources or business-related field is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years' experience performing benefits and/or leave administration within human resources function is required.
Must have experience in handling US benefits, especially 401k benefits.
Excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written.
Willing to work on a night shift schedule.
Willing to work onsite at Tower 1, Rockwell Business Center, Ortigas (Beside The Medical City Ortigas)
