Job Description
Turns on all the machines in the laboratory for use.
Brings to a room temperature all the reagents needed.
Cleans the working areas before performing anything.
Extracts blood from patients, ensures proper patient identification and checks request from prior to procedure.
Endorses collected blood samples to different departments in the laboratory section for processing.
Does the priming and needle cleaning of the COBAS MIRA to get rid of some possible clogs in the test tubes.
Calibrates the cobas micros and feeds normal before performing any test.
Separates serum from clotted blood by centrifugation and uses serum sample for chemistry analysis.
Runs first the normal control before performing any chemistry analysis on patient's sample in order to have a data of firmly established reliability. Makes sure all tests are within normal control.
Does some chemistry test manually and reads the results using the spectrophotometer.
Saves serum daily in case for request of additional test.
Responsible in making monthly quality report.
Performs other duties as maybe assigned by authorized personnel.
