Urgent Hiring: digital printer operator (immediate start)MetroGrafix Inc.

We are looking for a Digital Printer Operator.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, efficiency of our large format printers, will be able to meet tight deadlines, ensure accurate colour replication with correct print placement, will also handle laser cutter machine and digital printer.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for setting up machine to start a production cycle (daily maintenance procedures, optimize workflow).
Choosing correct materials for job and correct printing procedures (3M Vinyl, Avery Vinyl, etc.).
Inspect product as it is printed to be sure that the result is accurate.
Clock in and out of jobs to record production times and properly issued materials.
Monitor press and material for issues (i.e. material flaws, end of roll before job is done, etc.).
Operate printing equipment, including Fuji Digital Printer, Mimaki, Sticker Printer.
Ensure layout and imposition of files are correct.
Perform other duties as assigned and related to position.
Qualifications:
Preferably Male, computer literate
Knowledgeable in AUTOCAD Applications
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Applications
Knowledgeable or knows how to operate Machine for tarpaulin Printing
Technical- Vocational (Tech-Voc) course (e.g., mechanical, industrial and press machine operation)
Certificates in Machining or Technical fields is advantage
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Secondary/High School diploma (OSSD) or equivalent or Technical- Vocational (Tec-Voc) course is advantage (e.g., mechanical, industrial and press machine operation)
Must be a team player, preferably male and computer literate
Attention to detail and ability to resolve or work around small, semi-complex problems.
Willingness to follow safety procedures, and an understanding of why this is important.
Troubleshooting experience and strong mechanical aptitude.
Understand how production procedures are followed.
Understanding of colour printing systems.
Understanding of unit measurement conversion (feet into inches, yards into feet, etc.).
Understanding of maintenance and start-up procedures for all machines.
Ability to lift materials in excess of 60lbs.
Experience performing quality checks on own work.
Must work well under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
