CHINESE TRANSLATOR
 
QUALIFICATION
Can communicate well in Mandarin-English (vice versa)
Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role
Fluency in at least two (2) languages in addition to the native language
Excellent in proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation error;
Good knowledge of content editing tools
Familiarity with translation software
Time management
Reliable, Honest and Friendly
Proactive in communicating with executives and staff members
Willing to work in Cebu City area
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Chinese Executives in their day-to-day communication with the office & site personnel and clients;
Can convert text from English to Chinese (vice versa)
Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone
Prepare subtitles for videos and online presentations
Proofread translated text for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy
Follow up with the internal team members and clients to ensure translation meet their needs
Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format
Network with field experts to stay current on new translation tools and practices
