POSITION PURPOSE:
General Ledger (GL) Accountant is responsible and will support transactional processes within the Accounting department, as detailed in the major responsibilities, timely and correctly according to Month End and Year End calendar deliverables, by ensuring the compliance of all internal controls, General Ledger task (journal preparation, postings, clearing of accounts, account reconciliation) and General Accounting principles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
1.Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual preparation of financial statements (BS, IS, SCE, SCF and Notes to FS);
2.Intercompany reconciliation (A/R, A/P and advances);
3.Month-end activities (Closing of books, P&L allocation, balance sheet allocation, Dashboard clearing, revaluation);
4.Performs general ledger tasks (journal preparation, postings, clearing of accounts, account reconciliation);
5.Prepare month-end reports to ensure that both General Ledger balances against Subsidiary Ledger balances are accounted for and variances are valid reconciling items;
6.Responsible in handling tax compliances, tax returns preparation and various government regulatory requirements;
7.Participation in budgeting, projects relating to process improvement both from a business standpoint and system-related;
8.Perform all tasks assigned by superior from time to time. The above functions and responsibilities may be reasonably updated by the Company.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
CPA is preferred but not required
EXPERIENCE:
At least two or more years of experience in General Accounting.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Flexibility and ability to work on different aspects of accounting.
Knows any ERP accounting system, preferably SAP; familiar with Acumatica.
Proficient in MS Office applications and/or any accounting solutions.
Good knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including internal controls principles.

Self-starter and able to work independently or with a team.
