Job Overview
Prepares and records accounting general entries, adjusting, accrual, closing entries, bank reconciliation, and reconciliation of non-trade receivables, payables account and maintenance of books. Preparation of external reports:monthly and quarterly BIR Withholding Tax, VAT Remittances Reports, Quarterly and Annual Income Tax Returns and prepares Financial Statements for the year end.
Duties and Responsibilities
In-charge of bank reconciliation of affiliated companies.
Supervise all regular accounting processes such as A/P and Journal Entries.
Recording of Sales and Collection monthly journal entries in the internal system.
Recording of Check vouchers and rental payments in the internal system.
Approval of all vouchers in the internal system for the correctness of entries and validity of attachments for the affiliated companies..
Prepares the following reports:
Monthly Reports
Remittance Return of Income Tax withheld on Compensation
Remittance Return of Creditable Income Tax Withheld (Expanded)
Remittance Return of Final Income Tax Withheld
Value-Added Tax Returns
Profit and Loss Report for affiliated companies.
Quarterly Reports
Value-Added Tax Returns
BIR Relief System for Sales, Purchases (with input tax), and Importation Transaction
Quarterly Income Tax Return
Quarterly Alphalist Reporting
Yearly Reports
Return of Alphalist of Creditable Income Tax Withheld-Expanded (1604E)
Prepares necessary documents for the renewal of annual business permit and property taxes of the company
Preparation of Annual Financial Statements
Prepares necessary documents/schedules for BIR audit purposes.
Coordinates with the customized check supplier in case of need & prepare required . documents.
Process & prepare necessary documents for BIR electronic filing system enrollment
Prepares monthly schedules on PPE depreciation, Taxes & Licenses and Input Tax schedule.
Recording of deposits in One Write Plus.
Approval of Leave and Overtime Pay for the General Accountants
Preparation of General Information Sheet except Inspire
Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Immediate Superior.
Job Specification
A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
At least 5 years work experience in Accounting and Finance (with at least two years in supervisory capacity)
Key Competencies and Skills
With Experience in the following areas:
Managing and overseeing the daily, monthly, and annual operations
Bookkeeping and financial reporting, including but not limited to month-end closing and profit and loss reporting.
Preparation of interim and annual financial statements
Preparation of BIR-related reports and requirements (tax filing and payment) and other reportorial requirements to regulatory agencies
Excellent leadership
Interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software
Strong work ethic
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities
Strong attention to detail and high regard for quality
Can work under minimal supervision
Good negotiation skills
Experience in migration of accounting software is a plus
