Job Description
ULTRASOUND SONOGRAPHER
Job Purpose
Responsible in performing Ultrasound/Sonograph procedure. To develop service in terms of quality, safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness, while developing one’s own professionalism and expert knowledge and skills.
Job Description
Prepare ultrasound equipment and rooms for examinations.
High steward care for sonography equipment and report maintenance needs.
Operate equipment under authorized diagnostic approaches and practices.
Assist radiologists with vascular ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
Explain ultrasound equipment and procedures to patients.
Problem-solve and make decisions regarding patient testing.
Assess and record the appropriate anatomy and pathology.
Distinguish between abnormal and normal anatomy to report findings.
Alert physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient’s response.
Perform administrative work such as answering phone call inquiries, processing monthly census, inventories and filing patient’s information and documents.
Responsible in releasing the results on time.
Other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST
Job Purpose
Assists in the supervision of the operations in the Radiology Department, including X-ray procedures, encoding of results.
Job Description
In the absence of Chief Radiologic Technologist or in cases of a high volume of X-ray patients
Perform X-Ray procedures and coordinate with the Radiologist for the reading results.
Assists the Chief Radiologic Technologist in the following:
Ensures the maintenance of records and pertinent documents.
Ensures that all legal and regulatory requirements are complied.
Ensures implementation of quality assurance program.
Maintains patient confidentiality and protects the clinic by keeping confidential results.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a Registered Radiologic Technologist
Must be certified Ultrasound Sonographer
