Training Team Lead
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Manager/AD/Director, the Team Lead, Training and Development will monitor employee day-to-day performance and provide feedback ensuring continual team member development as well as assuring quality levels and results meet and exceed expectations. The Team Lead, Training and Development will provide direction and assist in the development of training materials, exercises and structured activities designed to develop exceptional operational team members and effective training programs. The Team Lead, Training and Development is accountable to support departmental initiatives and acts as the first point of contact for training requests., recommendation of training solutions to address identified training opportunities, collaboration with leadership to determine desired results and creation of action plans to produce them.
Roles & Responsibilities
Supervise one or more direct reports
Train, coach and develop team members
Meet with team members on a regular schedule
As needed, facilitate instructor-led classroom and virtual training using a variety of training methods, tools, and software programs
Provide direction and assist with development and maintenance of training materials, workflow documents, Standard Operating/Desktop Procedures, and job aids.
Periodical review of operational departmental policies and procedures (P&P)
Collaborate with operational leadership to understand departmental goals and needs
Communicate process changes that have broad impact across the training team
Train new and existing employees in their role functions
Provide feedback on training program content and supporting documentation
Identify opportunities for improvement
Evaluate training effectiveness by reviewing and analyzing feedback results
Provide feedback and solutions to achieve predetermined benchmarks and goals
Monitor productivity, and support the quality standards program for all trainees and staff
Define department workflows and develop tools to enhance efficiencies
Consult and advise operational leadership as a Training Subject Matter Expert
Achieve high-level expertise in applicable functional area(s)
Work with operations domains to plan and execute on support needs
Identify training needs and help with TNA
Help with coordinating efforts for new client implementation and existing client transition efforts
Report on performance metrics of the team
Help in syncing teams offerings with LMS by coordinating with LMS admin
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
2+ years of experience in training and development people management
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and methodologies
Ability to conduct discussions, discovery, and orientations
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong time management and multitasking skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred
Certification in training, instructional design, technical communication or related field
Experience working in a healthcare environment (ideally with exposure to health plan services concepts)
Knowledge of TPAs (Third Party Administrator), ACOs (Accountable Care Organizations), MCOs (Managed Care Organization), Population Health and/or Value Based Care
Compensation & Benefits
Earn as much as 55,000 up to 65,000 per month;
HMO coverage includes you and a dependent.
Transportation allowance when reporting in the office
Internet allowance
