TRAINING OFFICER
 
Job Description
The Training Officer is responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing training programs for both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams. This role ensures that employees receive comprehensive training that enhances their skills, performance, and adherence to company standards. The Training Officer collaborates with the Training Head to create and execute training plans, monitor effectiveness, and stay updated with industry best practices. Additionally, they are responsible for managing training costs, fostering a positive learning environment, and addressing training-related challenges.
 
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in training, learning & development, or a related role, preferably in the food & beverage or hospitality industry.
Strong ability to assess training needs and develop effective training plans.
Knowledge of training methodologies and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
Experience in designing and executing training programs that enhance employee performance.
Ability to monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
Strong organizational skills, including budget and resource management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective training delivery.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to foster a positive learning culture.
Ability to resolve conflicts, handle training challenges, and ensure smooth implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities
Training Development & Implementation:
Identify and assess the current and future training needs of FOH and BOH employees in coordination with the Training Head.
Develop and execute training plans, materials, and activities tailored to the needs of both departments.
Conceptualize and implement engaging training programs that enhance employee knowledge and performance.
Utilize various training methodologies to ensure an effective learning experience.
Operational Training & Support:
Conduct hands-on training sessions for FOH employees on service standards, customer interactions, and dining operations.
Train BOH employees on culinary techniques, food safety protocols, equipment handling, and kitchen setup.
Ensure employees follow company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards in both FOH and BOH operations.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by conducting store visits and observing employees in action.
Collect feedback from employees and management to improve training effectiveness and content.
Adjust training methods as necessary to ensure maximum engagement and retention.
Budget & Resource Management:
Create a calendar of training activities, identifying costs and budget requirements in coordination with the Training Head.
Manage training resources, tools, and costs to ensure efficient and cost-effective training implementation.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
Work closely with supervisors, managers, and team leads to align training with company objectives.
Stay updated on training trends, developments, and industry best practices, incorporating them into the company's training programs.
