This position requires a self-starter with the ability to manage & prioritize multiple concurrent projects. Conducting quality assurance activities in projects, including collaborative review of requirements and creation of test plans /test cases, participation and leadership of both manual / automated test execution and exploratory validation of application to assess usability and stability, reporting and tracking of all defects / issues for projects, assist QA Lead(s)s and QA Manager(s) in tracking of testing progress and status. Reporting to the Director, Quality Engineering. Responsibilities & Deliverables: Define, develop, review and execute test plans, test scenarios and test scripts based on software project specifications May provide testing effort estimates for enhancements. Hands on writing and execution of manual and automated scripts including testing APIs and integration services. Validation of application to assess functionality, usability and stability Tracks defects from detection to resolution in tracking system and works with developers to reproduce and resolve defects. Communicates with stakeholders on product issues and perform defect testing of production support issues Participate in regression testing of product features and functionalities as required Participate in creation of automated scripts Acquires and maintains knowledge of existing products, operations or systems. Reviews product documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy. Assist QA Manager and Project Manager in tracking of testing progress and status. May assist in the review of software testing processes to improve product quality. Other duties as assigned. Required Experience: Qualifications: 3+ years of hands on experience in Quality Assurance 2+ years of experience in an Agile SDLC environment or similar 2+ years of experience with test management tools like Quality Center, Agile Central, TFS or Microsoft Test Manager or similar Experience with Windows operating systems and with databases. Experience in creating automated scripts Ability to analyze and interpret technical documentation such as software requirements, detailed designs, flow charts and database schemas Ability to work independently or within a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and a general passion for QA technology and practices. Must have motivation and excellent problem-solving skills. Experience with source control and issue tracking systems like JIRA. Ability to comprehend complex system architectures and find creative approaches to testing them. Analytical and structured approached to problem solving and testing. Ability to write effective and reliable test cases from requirement specifications. BS in computer science or equivalent industry experience. Other Desired Skills: Taking Full Ownership of tasks from start to finish Proactive communication skills and attention to detail Team Collaboration Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment a plus Experience with a Test Driven Development (TDD) / Behavior Driven Development (BDD) environment. Experience testing RESTful APIs using Soap UI, Postman, etc preferred.
