Job Description:
Conduct "all-source analysis, digital forensics and targeting to identify, monitor, assess and counter the threat posed by [criminal] cyber actors."
Leverage background in technology, science, mathematics, and computer programming to impede criminals from accessing proprietary data.
Mitigate any potential data threats and defend data.
Compile reports that identify ways to pinpoint and prepare for potential threats.
Expert in identifying an organization's security vulnerabilities and pinpointing indicators of compromise (IOC) such as suspicious IP addresses, URLs, email addresses and attachments, registry keys, and filenames.
Maintain a current knowledge on the voluminous amount and types of cyber threats that are developed daily.
Effectively communicate potential threats that could harm the growth, reputation and financial stability of an organization.
Responsible for defining information security policies and procedures
Develop and maintain relationships with key support areas, platform owners, and LOB's to provide ongoing input for accurate risk assessment, helping identify security risks in applications and provide guidance in the implementation of appropriate data security procedures and products
Contribute to the review and improvement of processes and procedures within the department to achieve maximum efficiency
Identifying new sources for intelligence collection
Rating and reviewing intelligence sources on a periodic basis
Automating intelligence gathering and open-Source Intelligence Collection and analysis
Education:
Relevant degrees such as Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Computer Science, Intelligence, Education, Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Technical, Technology, Information Technology
Licenses or Certifications:
CISSP, SANS, CEH, GCIH, GSEC, SEC504, GCIA, SEC503, GIAC, GREM
