Job Descriptions
Trains personnel assigned to his engine watch;
Is responsible toward the Staff Engineer for the maintenance and condition of the Air Compressors, Purifiers or other machinery assigned;
Assigns maintenance and repair duties to his dependent personnel and actively supervises in any overhaul and repair work;
Controls the proper disposals of all refuse, rags etc. to avoid fire and other hazards;
Attends all cocktail parties and social and entertaining functions where his presence is required by the Master;
Relieves the Second Engineer Officer in the case of emergency;
Ensures presence on board whenever the Second Engineer is absent.
Job Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
mechanical engineering: 1 year (Preferred)
