JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of BS NURSING and passed Board/Professional License Exam.
2+ years' of triage
Previous experience in a hospital setting
Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening
Compassion and empathy
Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
Professional appearance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assuring delivery of quality health care services to all patients in a respectful and professional manner.
Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives.
The nurse will be performing telephone triage and appropriately referring patients to the emergency department for further evaluation, or setting up a telehealth appointment with our emergency medical provider.
Ability and willingness to provide excellent customer service to patients, InterMed colleagues and vendors
Pay close attention to detail and accurately update patient medical information
Proficiency with Windows based computer applications
Excellent typing and accurate documentation of patient encounter
Flexibility and willingness to work as a team member
Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Excellent professional judgment, phone skills and decision making ability
Other responsibilities as directed by coordinator or manage.
