The Technologies / Infrastructure (Integration, Middleware, Databases) Manager will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computing environment within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. Additionally, will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our customer environments. The successful candidate will have improved skills, a proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of industry's best practice processes.
What will your job look like?
Service Management:
Accountable for defining, planning, and prioritizing Infrastructure (Integration, Middleware, Databases) strategy, service targets for the project and its interfaces simultaneously
Service targets from the establishment to OGS (ongoing support) for the project and serve as a focal point to stakeholders, including managing escalations and problem resolution
Managing End-2-End production architecture design, setup, implementation and operation
Customer Management:
Point of contact for overall IT & Infrastructure services.
Manage ongoing meetings, status reporting & risk, and mitigation planning
Budget Management:
Responsible for effort estimation for the project and for managing the approved budget to meet agreed business targets in the most efficient way
Leadership and People Management:
Provides team-wide vision, mission, and goals. Lead by example intervenes when needed and motivates people during difficult times
Innovation:
Initiate, lead, implement and encourages innovative technical solutions and creative thinking for process/tools development and problem resolution per expected ROI to improve processes while keeping the team's efficient standard
Encourage the team to constantly improve efficiency and customer satisfaction via innovative approaches to common challenges
Contribute valuable ideas and implement them in order to achieve business objectives and influence the way business is conducted- Continuously work to remove barriers to innovation and avoid discouraging innovators by providing positive reinforcement of innovation, including recognition and rewards.
Business:
Seeks to understand the business challenges and requirements and translate them to technical requirements
Responsible for conducting discovery process with customers using integration techniques to identify Infrastructure (Integration, Middleware, Databases) needs/problems, provide resolution for complex/non-routine problems
Responsible for creating and analyzing multiple solution alternatives and recommend the most suitable one, using Amdocs and industry practices, experience, and new relevant technologies, even when business and customer needs seem to oppose
Technology & Knowledge:
Responsible for building Infrastructure (Integration, Middleware, Databases) technologies, and market knowledge: market trends, tools, new functionalities, roadmap.
Responsible for building sustainable Infrastructure (Integration, Middleware, Databases) knowledge in the team through extensive practical experience and mentoring
All you need is...
Must have at least 10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Management with minimum 3 to 5 years in the Telecommunication domain
Must have educational qualification of Graduation or Post-graduation degree in Engineering / Computer science / Information technology.
Must have experience with Amdocs products suite such as CRM, Ordering, Turbocharging
Must have experience with Amdocs products implementation including the mandatory 3rd party software's such as Oracle DB including RAC, Oracle WebLogic, RH Linux OS, and Cloudera
Must have experience with Amdocs product installation and maintenance
Must have experience with managing Amdocs applications problem management
Must have experience with managing Amdocs applications performance management
Must have expertise in data center management and data governance
Must have an understanding of complex information and requirements
Must have good prioritization skills and be flexible enough to adapt plans
Must have good communications skills - written and verbal
Must have confidence in decision-making
Must have good leadership skills
Must have an ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints
Must have VMWare & related virtualization experience
Must have storage-related knowledge and experience
Must have Hadoop/HBase experience
An advantage to have any certifications in system or storage or NW administration
An advantage to have certifications in AWS or Azure or VMC or GCP
An advantage to have experience with cloud transformation - Lift and shift from on-premise to cloud
An advantage to have experience in Disaster recovery setup. RTO, RPO KPI management
An advantage to have experience in managing InfoSec related tools for required security compliance and vulnerability management
An advantage to have experience in managing Grafana based monitoring systems
An advantage to have experience in Capacity planning and forecast
An advantage to have certification in PMP or ITIL foundations
An advantage to have additional experience in DevOps and SRE practices
