· Develop comprehensive project business cases and other necessary project preparatory documentation together with ITFS stakeholders, following the IT Department's (ITD) project governance framework.
· Research and build knowledge about products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented.
· Outline, write, and edit concept proposals, division reports and presentations, policy and process documentation, guidelines, articles, instructional materials, surveys, terms of reference, infographics, visual aids, and other forms of business writing and communications required for the effective and efficient administration and operation of ITFS.
· Determine the communication needs of end users and independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop the appropriate content. Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation.
· Prepares graphics and/or illustrations to elaborate on or complement technical writing.
· Conceptualize, prepare, and maintain a periodic report of ITFS division achievements. Select and publish in the appropriate media for the message and audience.
· Work with stakeholders to maintain an engaging, modern ITFS SharePoint team site and the dedicated ITFS pages in the ITD SharePoint hub site.
· Provide operational communications support to various ITFS initiatives by reviewing, commenting, editing, and updating second-hand content, documents, presentations, collaterals, etc. Prepare and execute communication plans as needed with the relevant ITFS stakeholders.
· Gather feedback on the effectiveness and utilization of documents, reports, etc. when appropriate. Propose innovative approaches for improvement.
Perform other ad-hoc tasks when required.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, IT, or relevant fields
· 5+ years' industry experience as an effective technical writer or equivalent role/assignment
· Previous experience writing documentations and materials for multiple audiences
· Demonstrated experience gathering technical requirements from subject matter experts and converting that into appropriate content
· Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
· Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize accordingly
· Superior written and verbal English communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
· Professional authoring, writing, editing, proofing skills
