Objectives of the Position
To assume full responsibility for sales and technical services throughout the country.
To identify new business, negotiate contracts, and review sales performance.
Main Areas of Responsibilities:
Responsible in maintaining current accounts as well as develop new businesses for the Philippines under the Surface Treatment portfolio
Promote and expand product range to new and existing customers.
Conduct regular visits to customers and distributors, attend to their queries and monitor its progress to ensure sales.
Conduct sales presentations and product trainings to customers and distributors.
Maintain consistent after-sales support to customers.
Review pricing and gross margins on a regular basis. Prepare price calculations, submit offers and price lists.
Prepare sales budget upon request and ensure that sales target is achieved.
Gather regular updates on market intelligence and customers, analyzing demand, pricing, applications, trends, and regulations, as well as competitors to ensure total grasp of market condition and landscape.
Coordinate and liaise with regional teams to address business-related and technical issues.
Review and monitor outstanding and overdue accounts, and credit limits of key accounts, distributors, and customers to ensure credits are within manageable and secured limits.
Ensure full awareness of the Quality Policy and Procedure as well as full commitment in its implementation.
Liaise with all relevant governing authorities to secure category compliance.
Support effective implementation of systems and processes resulting in delivering EHS target set for the country and conformance to regulatory and environment standards in respective business.
Handle people management topics:
Determine manpower requirement and participate in the hiring procedure to fill up identified posts.
Conduct performance evaluation for direct reports to effectively/efficiently manage performance in line with the Company's policies and procedures.
Coach and guide direct reports as needed, to ensure maximum productivity.
Discuss with direct reports to determine training needs and recommends appropriate learning and development interventions for management approval.
Minimum Education and Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in science-based courses such as Chemical Engineering and Chemistry.
At least 8 years of experience in marketing or technical sales of chemicals or related products.
In-depth knowledge and technical know-how of surface treatment chemicals and their applications
Experience in sales and marketing, skillful negotiations, key account management, business development and strategic planning.
Possess very strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
With excellent customer service orientation.
Possess excellent skills in relationship building, interpersonal communication and personal presentation
With high level of energy and able to maintain stable performance under pressure.
Flexible to travel when business needs and projects require.
Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and integrity at work.
With valid driver's license
