Objectives of the Position : To manage the sales of Raw Materials & finished products under BASF portfolio for the Coatings, Packaging, Oleochemical & its allied industry including global, regional and local key accounts with responsibility for revenue, contribution margin and base cost budgets. To manage he implementation and development of business strategy in-line with the Industry strategy in support of the Regional Business Unit, including identification of target customers, product/price offering to reach the target figures in the industry concerned. Main Areas of Responsibilities: Initiate business development with assigned customers, and lead business initiatives for the business unit represented by Coatings and Packaging industry including global, regional and local key accounts with responsibility for revenue, contribution margin and base cost budgets. Develop new accounts outside customer list as part of Market development activities for the industry Manage the implementation and development of business strategy in-line with Industry strategy, including identification of target customers, product/price offering to reach the target figures in the industry concerned. Provide basic technical support and updated product knowledge to customers and coordinate technical information and requirements between customer and regional/strategic business unit managers. Develop business with existing and potential customers to develop new market segment applications. Support and generate sales by developing and maintaining close contact and relationship with key accounts and industry contacts. Execute product/key customer strategy in coordination with the Regional Business team. Monitor business by generating monthly reports and project updates and prepares sales plans for budget and input to strategy preparation. Responsible for Monthly Forecasting, shipment, and AR monitoring to ensure Business continuity Job Requirements: Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. With 5 years of relevant work experience in sales and marketing of raw material chemicals for architectural coatings, construction chemicals and fiber bonding in multinational or local chemical companies, preferably with experience in working in a laboratory. Knowledgeable of the key principles and applications of sales management, marketing management, distribution management and business development. Strong business development skills & knowledge about the market under the industry Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. With excellent customer service orientation. Possess strong strategic planning and project management skills. With excellent skills in relationship building, interpersonal communication and personal presentation. Possess high level of energy and able to maintain stable performance under pressure. Flexible to travel when business needs and projects require. Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and integrity at work. Proactive, can excellently work individually and in teams.
