Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Recruiter to join our HR department and help us grow our IT team.
The Technical Recruiter responsibilities include sourcing, screening and providing a shortlist of qualified candidates for various technical roles. You will also network online and offline with potential candidates to promote our employer brand, reduce our time-to-hire and ensure we attract the best professionals.
Candidate will be responsible to build a strong tech talent pipeline, hire and retain skilled employees for our IT positions.
Duties/Responsibilities
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled; reviews job descriptions for vacancies.
Assist with the development and revision of specifications and job descriptions for selected positions.
Draft recruitment advertisements; post and/or place ads in the most effective digital and/or print media for open positions.
Source potential candidates on niche platforms.
Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen IT resumes.
Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants' abilities.
Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioral questions).
Connect qualified candidates with hiring managers.
Maintain contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
Vet potential employees' credentials.
Provide advice to hiring managers regarding salary negotiations with final candidates.
Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates
Compose job offer letters.
Onboard new hires.
Attend job fairs.
Conduct job and task analyses to document job duties and requirements.
Keep up-to-date with new technological trends and products.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter or Recruiter
Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g. phone, Skype/Zoom/Teams and structured)
Thorough understanding of technology, technical roles and technical skills.
Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and local employment laws and regulations.
Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for IT roles
Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related technical and/or human resources field required.
At least three years of related recruiting experience required, with prior experience in technical roles a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to travel on recruiting assignments.
