QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferably licensed Civil Engineer
with atleast 2 years experience in an Engineering/Design Consultant firm or Contractor Technical team.
Previous experience in a similar role of Design team leader would be preferred.
Previous experience on Construction site would be a plus
Previous experience in rehabilitation and/or structural strengthening would be a plus
Previous experience in investigation and assessment of existing Civil Structures would be a plus
Skilled in Autocad drawings and hand sketch. Sketup or 3D drafting would be a plus;
Skilled in Computer Aided Design and Modelling for structural and seismic analysis such as MIDAS, ROBOT, ETABS, STAAD or equivalent.
Knowledge of relevant standards such as AASHTOO, NSCP, ASCE, EUROCODES.

Job Purpose/Summary:
We are looking for a motivated Technical Engineer to join our expanding Philippines team.
Delivering quality Engineering deliverables applying professional knowledge, expertise and leadership to ensure Freyssinet provides Clients with high quality, innovative and cost effective engineering solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Technical Manager in liaising with Clients, Contractors and Engineering Consultants in terms of technical aspects
Carry out and/or Manage Preliminary Design Tender stage, as well as Detail Engineering stage for our Special Civil Works projects involving Construction, Seismic isolation, Rehabilitation and upgrade of Bridges, Buildings, Silos, Wharves, Industrial plants etc.
Carry out and/or Manage our technical studies particularly in temporary steel structures, structural analysis (including seismic), post-tensioning and structural retrofitting (strengthening and durability).
Conduct structural analysis not only in a conventional way but also using a combination of the latest code requirements and structural references (books, studies, articles etc.).
Produce spreadsheets and proposal sketches that will be presentation and cost study ready.
Conduct site inspection and able to gives preliminary structural assessment based on actual condition.
Liaise with our Clients to define all the needed design input data and technical requirements.
Work in conjunction with FIMI Sales team to understand the commercial context and prepare tenders Technical solutions with fit for purpose design and quantity estimates.
Manage FIMI junior technical engineer and drafting team, providing guidance, support and clarity to produce deliverables on time and to agreed standard.
Support and develop competences for our junior technical engineers (1 or 2 currently)
Manage and check the out-sourced designs by liaising with our internal Freyssinet partners (abroad) or Engineering Consultant partners (in the Philippines)
Manage and follow-up the submission and approval of the produced design documents.
Liaise with the Operational Team when they have specific requests to solve technical issues;
Work as a proactive member of the team, sharing experience and best practice.
Keep up to date on innovative methods and Freyssinet 's expertizes
