We are looking for a self-motivated Technical Draftsperson who can work alongside a number of specialists at our company.
To be successful as a Technical Draftsperson, you should stay up-to-date with new drafting software and advancements. An exceptional draftsman will demonstrate impeccable attention to detail and have sound knowledge of the discipline they draft for.
Overall Position Objectives
Provide the expertise and resource to maintain existing CAD and MRP systems, including implementing minor design upgrades across CAD and MRP, assisting with product pricing, assisting with technical CAD detailing work (workshop drawings), assembly and installation drawings.
Key Responsibilities
Product Information Management - primary responsibility
Ensure accurate and up to date information available on all products including drawings, cost information
Including Assembly diagrams, Assembly hardware kits, Maintenance documents
Internal system maintenance (MAX Access Database)
Defect Resolution and Reporting - assistant to such requests:
Resolve and follow through reported defects
Customer Project Specification - assistant to such requests:
Process new projects/Create BOM's to a full kit level
Setout Plan and Install Guides
FHoF for Synthetic soft-fall projects
All components have drawings
Checklist and Hardware list
Creating drawings and details as needed for bespoke client orders
Timesheets
Complete timesheets on Smartsheet (trackingtime.co)
Getting reports and seeing how long things are taking
Compare of costing and see the difference how they are doing
Analysis and data entry
Costing analysis

Estimate of Typical Day
Checklist and BOM Work: 20%
Technical Drawing Work (Shop Drawings, Installs, Setout: 50%
MRP Maintenance: 30%
Experience
At least 3-4 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer
Preferably with experience working in a metal fabrication company
