Oversees the technical architecture practice for solutions specific to Business Analytics covering infrastructure, integration, security, and deployment requirements. Primary Responsibilities Perform the following pre-sales tasks: o Understand the solution requirements and the technical landscape of a customer in order to craft the most appropriate architecture for bids/proposals o Analyse volume and workload of the solution being designed and determine the factors / metrics needed to properly the required infrastructure components o Define the technical infrastructure of the solution may they be on-premises, on cloud or hybrid o Collaborate with partners (i.e. SAS EEC, Cloudera Solution Architecture, Microsoft Azure Cloud Architect) in the definition of the technical design o Collaborate with the various practices of Thakral One including the Foundation, Customer Experience and Analytics practices to define the most beneficial and optimal architecture o Prepare presentation materials and documents of the technical architecture and ensure that they are understood by the customer through discussions/presentations and other forms of correspondences Perform the following project tasks: o Install and Configure of the Analytics Platform which includes but not limited to SAS 9.4/SAS Viya, Cloudera Data Platform and Services within Microsoft Azure o Define and Implement the security and network requirements for the installed components o Set-up components and processes to implement high availability and disaster recovery o Document the installation details/processes and provide hand-over to the customer's IT counterpart o Collaborate with other members of the project team including the Project Manager, Developers, Testers and Database Administrators Build knowledge and manifest expertise on the following tools/technologies: o Various operating systems including Windows and UNIX o Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Microservices o Containerization and Container Orchestration Platforms o Relational Databases and/or NoSQL Databases o DevOps o Cloud Computing which may include AWS and Azure o SAS 9.4 / SAS Viya o Cloudera Data Platform, Cloudera Data Science Workbench Secondary Responsibilities Conduct knowledge sharing sessions to the internal teams of Thakral One Act as a Functional Manager to oversee the career development of more junior members of the team and provide mentorship to them as necessary Identifies opportunities for expansion of projects and raises to the leads or the Business Development managers
