Job Description:
This is a remote position.
Our Customer is a leading cross-channel customer engagement solution provider for the modern marketer headquartered in Chicago. Our client lets marketers create personalized experiences, cross-channel messaging, and loyalty strategies.
The Technical Architect (TA) is a strategic architect and an experienced technical subject matter expert who is responsible for architecting and delivering complex technology & platform solutions to our client including their enterprise integrations and platforms. A successful Technical Architect (TA) also importantly articulates feasible and scalable platform choices and puts forth a prescriptive and viable technology and platform point of view.
Responsibilities:
Provide insight to solution design, recognising any impacts on delivery and make recommendations for ease of delivery and support
Setup and configure loyalty programs, including data models, rules, and email/message content per the approved program design
Development of complex highly dynamic personalized templates using XML/XSL
Use REST and Batch APIs to integrate with existing systems
Understands product capabilities/limitations and applies to the solution design
Ability to articulate feasible and scalable platform choices and put forth a viable technology and platform point of view
Evaluate technologies available to improve performance of solutions created
Guide consultative engagements with customers and their IT teams on the technical challenges and choices related to their digital marketing initiatives
Requirements
Four year college degree (Business, Computer Information Systems, or similar degree preferred) or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency
Excellent presentation and verbal skills with technical, non-technical, end-user, and executive audiences. Ability to compose clear and concise technical documentation.
Ability to collaborate with local and remote teams in different time zones.
Experience using scripting, test automation tools, REST APIs, and/or SQL.
Enterprise Architecture experience (esp in the Martech Stack)
Familiarity with Groovy and JavaScript
Familiarity with SOAP APIs, REST APIs and integration techniques
Familiarity with SDLC methodologies including requirements, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
Familiarity with HTML, XML/XSL and CSS is a bonus
Experience in the loyalty/digital marketing industry desired
Pass a strict criminal background check and provide strong references
