Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Kinder Coordinator, the Teacher Aide is responsible for the safety and well-being of the Kindergarten students.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Classroom Management and Faculty Support
Assists the teacher in planning, preparing, and addressing classroom requirements such as materials for classroom display and center activities, placement of go-bags, emergency/hygiene kits, soap, hand towels, etc.
Helps setup learning centers and prepares needed materials and supplies
Performs clerical and administrative support functions for teacher
Keeps track of the inventory of school materials in his/her assigned classroom
Facilitates the processing of reimbursement/cash advance of the Kinder Coordinators, as needed
II. Student Support
Assists students during class activities, such as repeating the teacher's instructions, helping them with arts and crafts activities, etc.
Guide classes to other venues for special activities (e.g., covered courts for P.E. classes, computer lab for DigiTalk, etc.)
Assists students with their health requirements by accompanying them to the Health Services Office and restroom
III. Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
At least one (1) year work experience in a school-setting and working with children
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Good oral and written communication (both English and Filipino)
Good organizational skills
Warm and friendly attitude that will easily be liked by children
Exhibits care and concern for young students
