As a Tax Specialist, you will provide advice to superiors for a more narrowly defined scope in a Finance Specialty area, work with direct managers to support financial activities, decision making and general projects and be responsible for preparing e.g., analysis or reporting with particular emphasis on accuracy, compliance and timeliness of data provided.
The Tax Specialist is a critical support and business partner not only to the CFO and FRA but across functions in Sandoz. This role ensures strong compliance and advises on tax implications of the company's initiatives and activities. These efforts will contribute to sustainability of business operations and enable company to continue to provide access to Sandoz medicines by helping to minimize tax-related risks.
Your Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Responsible for end-to-end tax returns preparation and filing, tax payments, tax true up
and LGU/business permits processing.
• Assist in preparation of statutory financial statement and submission of all reportorial
requirement by government agencies like SEC, BSP and PSA.
• Ensure that all tax related liabilities and reconciling items are booked on a timely
manner.
• Proactively prepare various schedules and working papers for BIR audits.
• Review and assess vendor invoices for application of input tax. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Team/tax authorities/auditors aligning
processes that will maximize tax returns.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for tax related policies and processes. Track changes
related to taxes and conduct research on tax compliance issues at the local and national
levels.
• Cascade changes to tax regulation, guidelines and/or policies as well as
implications to Sandoz to the FRA Head, CFO and other relevant internal stakeholders and ensure necessary changes are implemented to ensure compliance thereto.
• Ensuring timely withholding tax certificates of vendors are issued.

Minimum requirements
What you'll bring to the role:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
• CPA or with experience in big 4 audit firm in the Philippines is preferred
• 3-6 years of accounting and/or proven track record as tax specialist or analyst
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization
• Sharp attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with relevant accounting software and other MS Office applications e.g. excel, word, PowerPoint
• Proficient and fluent in English (spoken and written), with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Digital & Technology Savvy
