POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Tax Manager or Tax Associate Manager will assist the Head of Corporate Taxation on all corporate tax matters including its agency force. This role will assists and provides inputs in formulating and implementing of team goals aligned with over-all business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares on a timely basis and accurate filing of tax reports and its corresponding remittances, if any.
Recommends solutions/options to optimize tax outgo with the permissible tax laws/procedures.
Recommends tax considerations in key transactions, contracts, products, etc. both domestic and international within the bounds of the tax treaties.
Provides tax information to all partners who would require such data.
Assist the Head of Corporate Taxation in resolving BIR audit assessments, if any.
Liaises with responsible Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) personnel in line with registration of new branches, application systems and securing tax clearances.
Prepares the application of local business permits of all branches.
REQUIREMENTS:
College graduate, preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
With at least five (5) years professional experience in tax reporting and remittances to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as well as handling Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) audits and assessments.
Preferably with two (2) years of working experience in the tax compliance group of any of the big four accounting firms.
With extensive exposure to Philippine Tax rules and regulations and understanding its impact to the company's operations and its agency force.
With familiarity on application of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
Extensive exposure to Philippine tax rules and regulations and understanding its impact to the company's operations and its' agency force.
Extensive exposure on Philippine Tax Treaties with other tax jurisdictions.
