The role will focus on supporting tax operation's processes and has scope to broaden / widen over time as the individual progresses.
Key areas will be as follows:
Indirect Tax, supporting aspects of:-
Tax compliance activities (such as: calculation review, analysis, reconciliation, filing and payment) for Indirect, U.S. State/Federal and Local Taxes;
Managing collection and submission of data for tax compliance;
Monitoring tax compliance trackers;
Maintaining and ensuring completeness of records and supporting documentations for all compliance tasks completed.
Transfer Pricing, supporting aspects of:-
The RELX Group's transfer pricing documentation program including:
Preparation of group overview, company overview and industry analysis sections of the transfer pricing reports
Assisting with analysis of intercompany transaction data from finance teams for various annual compliance reporting purposes;
Assembling TP reports for specific legal entities within the RELX Group;
Assisting in intercompany agreement inventory / management;
Assisting with the benchmarking process with third parties / internally;
Supplying relevant information to support audit enquiries from tax authorities, external auditors, and internal audit.
Group Tax Transformation Office, supporting aspects of:-
eTax system including completing standing data configuration updates; applying standard content updates; assisting with eTax queries in support of operational processes; Maintaining eTax learning guides and other documentation
Ensuring IGCS is kept up to date and managing updates from operational teams with PwC, the 3rd party system provider
Supporting Robotic Process Automation (RPA) across Group Tax processes and the maintenance of Alteryx workflows
Business continuity processes and ad-hoc compliances, supporting aspects of:-
Business license applications
1042 returns
Unclaimed property filings
CT61 filings
Supporting with other ad hoc projects as required.
