The Tax and PEZA Manager is responsible in:
● Accurate and Timely Filing/Remittance of Taxes of Probe Group (Probe, Microsourcing, Innovior and Beepo)
● Maximized utilization of Tax Incentives (5% GIT, 5%SCIT, ITH incentives) and VAT/Duty free incentives by complying to the investments commitments, report submission and securing annual incentives certifications (VAT ZERO Rating/ CETI)
● Primarily responsible for the application of New Company/Site, delisting of site/activities and the application of the various types letter of approvals with the BIR, LGU and PEZA/BOI
● Subject Matter Expert for all tax queries of Probe Group by providing the interpretation and application of the tax laws, providing in house tax advice/trainings, development of manuals, memo and SOPs. Mastery of the Tax Regulations/Laws
● Liaise and maintain good rapport with external auditors, legal counsel, tax counsel and tax examiners (BIR, LGU, BOI and PEZA) and when necessary provides information/reports required
● Ensures that Probe Group is securing and renewing the PEZA, LGU (Business Permits, Occupancy and Ancillary permits to operate) and BOI permits. In coordination with admin and facilities, ensures the permits to operate and timely renewed with the SUSD.
● Owns the preparation tax disclosures in the monthly reports, tax returns, financial statements and the related reports submitted to PEZA/BOI and FIRB pursuant to the Annual Tax Incentives Report (ATIR) and Annual Benefit.
● Coordinate with the various departments any processes that needed to be changed/reviewed in relation to changes in tax laws and new PEZA/ BIR/ BOI issuance.
● Acts as the documents archiver/record keeper of all the statutory records of the company's registrations with BIR, PEZA, LGU and BOI.
● Ad hoc Tasks including (i) Philippine Statistics Reporting of performance (Quarterly and Annual) (ii) renewal and application of Bureau of Customs registration, NTC, OMB import permits and related application of the shipment permits for all importations of PCPI, PPI and PCXP (iii) assistance to various departments in their accreditation with suppliers including providing comments/review of contracts, tax returns, company registration documents and sworn affidavits for VAT Zero Rating.
● Complete all necessary training requirements and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
● With 3 - 5 years of related work experience
● Certified Public Accountant is preferred but not required
● Good verbal and written communication skills
● Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up in Eastwood, Quezon City
