The Tax Analyst is a key member of the Global Human Resource Information Systems Team. In this capacity the analyst will act as the expert with knowledge in all areas of US payroll and taxation. The primary objective of the analyst is to ensure that payroll tax validation is done efficiently and accurately; any discrepancies are reported and corrected in a timely manner. This is to achieve the Global HRIS service level goals.
The Tax Analyst will ensure that customer service expectations are met and maintained and cultivate relationships with appropriate customer contacts in order to be responsible and proactive according to their needs.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
To provide excellent customer service to customers by timely response, accurate information, proactive assistance, and proper, accurate, and timely information processing.
Regularly updates self on process development to further improve work processes.
Responsible in updating run sheet, contact list, and other payroll related documentation of the team.
Creates and maintains the Manila Tax and Finance Performance Report every month.
Assist in the periodic review of departmental operating procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Contributes at least three process improvements for the whole year.
Provide production and customer related input for the Global HRIS business plan.
Contributes to other projects if requested.
Escalation
Escalates technical or non-technical problems that are unable to be resolved on the spot to proper escalation channel.
Develops own resources and goes outside basic troubleshooting to resolve problems.
Verifies problem and validates escalation prior to Operations Supervisor.
Target Setting
Perform weekly payroll audits.
Ensure the accuracy of data extracted from Oracle, Kbace, and other reporting tools.
Reconciliation of various tax reports; analyzes and conducts research on discrepancies and source. Initiates problem resolution and communication to the team.
Creates a service request addressed in a timely manner to the respective owners for balance adjustment and/or correction. Monitors the adjustment made to the employee records to make sure that balances are corrected.
Balance and analyzes the quarterly and annual tax data recorded by the Corporate Tax Department to the W2 Register Totals from Oracle for the quarter and year end.
Prepares the Monthly Global HRIS Billing Reports.
Prepare W3 Reports for Business Units and send as requested.
Ensures the completeness and accuracy of reports before sending to Payroll Tax Manager.
Achieve and maintain 100% SLA set by Global HRIS Team. Ensure to update SRs every seven days.
Keeps abreast of Tax and Finance information and updates from St. Louis. Ensure that these are communicated to the team on a timely manner.
Does the Regression Testing.
Attend to team meetings/activities by actively participating and sharing knowledge to team members.
Training
Conduct training to newly hired analysts and refresher, update processes and personal development of the analysts.
Provide back up to perform the support.
Adheres closely to daily schedules while other assigned tasks are executed on time.

Decisions are made through standard operating procedures. Limits decision through instructions from superior.
Follows established routine. Some analysis is being exercised. Decisions are made out of available guidelines or precedents.
FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:
4-year Course with Business, Financial, or Accounting background.
Knowledgeable in MS Excel and any Payroll System.
Must be able to find and analyze information from different sources.
Must be able to think logically and creatively to resolve problems and prevent them from reoccurring.
Must be detail-oriented and conscious of data confidentiality requirements.
Ability to understand processes without every detail needing to be defined.
Good English written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision.
Ability and willingness to accept change.
Ability to function effectively in a rapid-paced environment.
Must be able to multi-task.
Must be a team player.
Willing to work on a flexible shift.
Preferred:
With at least 1.5 - 2 years experience in auditing and reconciliation.
With at least 1 year working experience in payroll processing.
Related experience in the BPO industry (Payroll processing)
Remarks:
Work conditions may require employee to work during the night shift.
