We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to join our growing finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing tax compliance, optimizing tax strategies, and ensuring adherence to relevant tax regulations.
Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance:
Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including Income Tax Returns (ITR) and Value Added Tax (VAT).
Ensure compliance with all local and national tax regulations.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the organization.
Tax Planning:
Analyze financial data to identify potential tax-saving opportunities.
Provide recommendations for tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position.
Documentation and Recordkeeping:
Maintain organized and detailed records of all tax-related transactions and activities.
Ensure proper documentation for all tax entries and adjustments.
Tax Audits:
Facilitate and support internal and external tax audits.
Collaborate with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
Advisory:
Communicate effectively on tax-related matters.
Provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough research on tax issues and changes in tax legislation.
Provide insights on the impact of tax changes on the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments, including finance and legal, to ensure holistic compliance with tax requirements.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting
· CPA certification is strongly preferred.
· Extensive knowledge of advanced accounting principles and practices
· Proven experience as a Tax Accountant or in a similar role.
· In-depth knowledge of local and national tax laws and regulations.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
