Responsibilities & Skills
Responsibilities & Duties:
Investigate and respond to notices from taxing authorities and assist with tax audits
Review of tax returns and tax computations for global entities including but not limited to GST/VAT, withholding tax, etc.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and legislative and business changes
Provide tax support to business units
Remit payments and perform monthly & quarterly VAT tax account reconciliations
Ensure compliance with transfer pricing agreements
Collaborate and coordinate with various business functions to consolidate necessary data for tax filing preparation and ensure compliance with global tax calendar
Assist with accounting for income taxes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and maintaining deferred tax detailed schedules and tax account reconciliations
Drive ongoing process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Support various ad-hoc tax planning and special project work
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a multinational environment preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation from an accredited college/university
International VAT/GST or indirect tax experience
Motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a member of the team
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with business partners
Proven organization skills with critical attention to detail
Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills
