About the Role
As a Tax accountant for all our Independent Contractors, you will be responsible in preparing and withholding tax returns 2307 for all our Independent Contractors, which are our Rider Partners. You will also devise tax strategies to defer or eliminate tax payments, coordinate audits with our rider management, finance department & external partners, and advise on taxation strategies.
What You'll Do
Create Tax Data Collection System
Ensure all Independent Contractor Rider Partners are registered with BIR and all 2307 updated
Prepare presentations and reports on tax situations, advising rider management and finance department regarding how to minimize tax liability, and informing changes in tax regulations
Understand and interpret tax law and occasionally explain its implications to our rider management and finance department
Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax fillings
Advise rider management and finance department regarding tax impact of existing strategies and new laws on tax liabilities
Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work with external partners
Attend to all BIR concerns of Rider Management
Adhoc accounting and finance function
What You'll Need
A Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a similar financial field
A Certified Public Accountant is an advantange
Experience working in e-commerce or Logistics is preferred
Financial background and deep knowledge of the taxation process and tax law and be able to effectively communicate, in verbal or written form
Great written and verbal communication skills and superior customer service are also important
Highly knowledgeable on business concepts and government regulations, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with numbers and financial data
Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask
Critical Thinker; uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Must be able to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
