You'll play a key role supporting our US client in providing exceptional tax and accounting services to their business.
The role requires strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment. The role is expected to have regular and independent communication with management, peers in finance and other functions/business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Tax return preparation
1099 year-end tax information reporting and tax planning
General accounting for client business' to be used in preparing income tax returns, including preparation of trial balances and related adjusting journal entries; preparing deposits and disbursement requests
Assist with general administrative functions of the Tax Department
Assist with other Corporate accounting projects as needed
Assist with special projects, as necessary
Stay current on the latest tax law changes
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any accounting related program
At least 5 years of accounting and business tax preparation experience is required for this position
CPA is ideal
Experience in a BPO setting is an advantage
Must have an excellent knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulation
Must have an experience in accounting software such as QuickBooks, and Xero
Must have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office or Excel
Should have a strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be a team player with strong reconciliation and analysis skill
Must be willing to work on a US shift, Monday to Friday (9:00 PM to 5:00 AM MNL Time)
Must have a fast and reliable internet connection for a temporary work from home arrangement
Required language(s): English, Filipino
