Job Description The role of Systems Reliability Engineer is a Hybrid of a software developer and a systems administrator. This is a technical role where the candidate is responsible for improving the system's availability through automation of deployment, monitoring and early detection of known problems. The candidate will be working closely with the development and operations team to identify areas of improvement in the systems and build the necessary tools and/or integrate with other products to make the systems more resilient and guarantee availability in case of issues. The candidate will be the technical subject matter expert on the system assigned and will be the key point of contact for the operations and monitoring team for change management and incident handling. Systems Reliability Engineer Key Responsibilities: Maintain Production Availability Establish real time and automated monitoring of platform health Attend to escalated issues from L2 Capture and Mitigate identified failure points of the platform Manage Change Improve deployment processes and tools to allow frequent changes with lower risks Create a sustainable Platform and lessen deployment downtime through automation Increase Speed of Software Deployment Work with the delivery team to address roadblocks and allow deployment changes Optimize and/or automate cutover preparation and execution Continuous Improvement Perform cut-over retrospective to determine areas of improvement Capture gaps in operation that can be addressed by automation Role Requirements Core Skills Release and Deployment Change Planning, Management and Implementation Systems Integration Behavioral Competencies Execution Excellence Digital Innovation Collaboration Learning Agility Skills Required Experience in Production Support, Operational Processes and Incident Handling Application Scripting / Development background with focus on application deployment , monitoring , troubleshooting (Python, Bash, etc) Basic Knowledge on Network Design concepts, function and operation (Firewall, Load Balancer, Proxies , VPN etc) Knowledgeable in AWS Technologies and Containerized Systems (AWS EKS, PKS, Kubernetes) Knowledgeable in integrating and/or working with monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, ELK Stack etc.) and systems performance analysis Experience in building Continuous Integration /Continuous Delivery Pipelines Ability to work efficiently and gracefully under pressure Make Your Passion Part of Your Profession.
