Seeking a highly motivated Systems Support Engineer to join a highly collaborative team that is building out, scaling, and supporting Nasdaq Data Link's cloud infrastructure. You'll work on real-world problems in a dynamic environment with talented team members to deliver reliable and scalable systems in the cloud. Successful candidates will be curious, independent thinkers who are excited by challenges and driven by delivering and supporting great products.
Data Link is a premier source for financial and alternative data. It provides the efficient delivery of real-time exchange data and other fundamental financial information via a suite of streaming and REST APIs.
You will play a key role in building out Data Link's infrastructure and supporting our clients to ensure we can meet our SLA of data delivery.
Responsibilities
Empathize with the client experience and effectively troubleshoot and resolve critical issues, including incidents during pre-market hours, in a timely manner
Troubleshoot production (SRE), performance issues, including off-hour maintenance as required
Use Infrastructure as Code to define and deploy infrastructure to cloud
Define, collect, analyze metrics to define opportunities for improvements
Streamline and automate the SDLC process using DevOps methodologies
Experience
3+ years professional experience in a Systems Support or site reliability engineering (SRE) role in a cloud-based environment
Comfortable working within an agile software development process
Skilled with containerized cloud deployment using Kubernetes
Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies like Terraform and Helm
Ability to write scripts (Python, Shell, SQL)
Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications using Gitlab
Skilled with observability tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, Sysdig, etc.
Solid understanding of service level metrics and passionate about providing great client experience
Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and strong communication skills
A keen interest in information security with ability to quickly pivot to remediate
Understand the 8 phases of DevOps and how to add value to each stage
Domain knowledge in finance and capital markets is an asset
