Duties and Responsibilities:
• Customer Facing - provide call support, call clients about issues
• Taking ownership of issues
• Communicating with the team and the client to remediate issues
• Ongoing education around systems and processes and technologies
• Troubleshooting and supporting multiple clients on various solutions
• Document all ticket and project work including accurate time
• Complete timesheet entry for each customer as the work is completed.
• Act as a point of escalation for junior engineers and have a mentoring role with them
• The role is technically challenging and will involve liaising with customers via email and phone
• Assisting with development of procedures as technology evolves
• Daily checking of customer backups
• Administration within Labtech including patching and monitoring
• Security auditing
• Managing antivirus, patching firmware
Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree in Information Technology or related
• At least 3 years of work experience in the IT industry looking after Small and Medium sized networks
• Experience with the following technologies: Server 2012 R2, Server 2016/2019, Office 365, IaaS Platforms, Windows 10, Hyper-V, Exchange 2010-2019, AD/GP, Project Management, RMM
• Well developed Router/Switch/Network planning/configuration/troubleshooting
• Experience with various Backup technologies such as StorageCraft, Windows Backup, and si ilar
• Must have great written and oral English skills along with good troubleshooting capabilities
• Familiarity in Microsoft systems, ideally a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
• Knowledgeable in Labtech and/or Connectwise preferred by not a requirement
• Highly organized and able to keep track of daily activities
• Possess a cheery personality with lots of enthusiasm
