Job Summary:
Position is responsible for performing IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting the company infrastructure business processes and operations and/or network-based (cloud) product systems; analyzing, installing, acquiring, modifying and supporting operating systems, database or utilities software; and planning, conducting and directing the analysis of business problems with automated systems solutions.
Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Builds collaborative working relationships internally and externally. Attendance and schedule adherence are requirements of this position.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and lead assigned projects in all technical and communication aspects in order to finalize them according to company requirements and within deadlines.
Plan and engineer the company's systems infrastructure.
Implement and maintain data security on the infrastructure.
Implement, integrate, and support customer infrastructure and applications.
Interface between customers and hardware/service providers.
Report on progress, issues, and problems to the supervisor, including giving suggestions to optimize service.
Monitor the performance of the server platform and make technical recommendations on improvements if necessary.
Participate in an on-call rotation and work non-standard hours when necessary.
Qualifications & Job Skills:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
5-9 years' hands-on enterprise experience.
Experience with system design, implementation, and documentation (Visio).
Strong knowledge of backup infrastructures on Windows and Linux platforms.
Certifications (e.g. MCSE or above, CCNA or above, VCP or above) or equivalent.
Experience with Active Directory/Group Policy design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Windows Servers including design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Name and Directory Services (e.g. DNS, WINS, LDAP).
Experience with Server and Desktop virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare vSphere, VDI).
Experience with Microsoft Lync infrastructure.
Strong experience in Microsoft Exchange, including clustering, HA, design, upgrades, etc..
Good knowledge of LAN/WAN routing and security protocols.
Advanced experience with enterprise-grade hardware (SAN systems, blade servers, clustering protocols, virtualization, Fibre-Channel, iSCSI).
Exposure to ITIL concepts (ticket management, CAB, etc.) and working in a global setting.
Experience with scripting and delivering custom solutions when necessary.
Ability -task and work on multiple projects at one time.
Ability to work in an organized manner and pay close attention detail to ensure quality in work delivered.
