Job Description:
The Systems Administrators role is to work as part of a team that provides operational support for systems and services in our evolving environment.
In addition to direct operational responsibilities, the selected candidate will participate in developing the operational models, processes and procedures required to maintain and support systems for our organisation.
The successful candidate needs to be able to meet our high standards for quality, versatility and integrity while being able to adhere to our tight deadlines and time constraints
Reporting directly to I.T Infrastructure Team Lead the incumbent will need to ensure all responsibilities are completed successfully and delivered.
Responsibilities:
Ongoing maintenance and administration of assigned systems
Adherence to policies, processes and procedures within the designated areas of responsibility.
Assist with execution of projects related to areas of responsibility.
Developing, configuring and maintaining management system, including all server infrastructure, application catalogue, operating system images and configuration items
Assist in the administration of systems and infrastructure
Respond to and resolve escalated help desk requests
Deploy software and patches in accordance with an agreed deployment schedule
Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure procedures, processes, designs and builds.
Provide training and support to other members of the IT organisation
Requirements:
3 + Years' experience in Systems Administration
3 + Years' experience in Active Directory, Group Policy
3 + Years' experience in Windows Server O/S
1 + Years in VMWare vSphere/ESX
Good working knowledge in Office 365 & Microsoft Exchange
Good working knowledge in maintaining Physical Infrastructure
Working knowledge of corporate Backup Systems preferred
Working knowledge of corporate Storage Arrays preferred
Working knowledge Linux preferred
Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing and switching)
Understanding of networking services: DNS, DHCP
Microsoft Certification such as Azure Fundamentals or VMWare Certification such as (vSphere Install Configure Manage (VCP) Required
