This VMware System Engineer position is focused towards Virtualization with VMware and Cisco Unified Computing Systems platform. Who You Are and What Will You Do This VMware System Engineer position is focused towards Virtualization with VMware and Cisco Unified Computing Systems platform. The engineer will be responsible for managing the VMware and Cisco UCS Infrastructure across data centers. The individual will provide expertise for architectural solutions in a complex environment. Additionally, the candidate will be part of an engineering & project Roles and Responsibilities: Perform day to day tasks and managing complex VMware Infrastructure. Responsible for installation, configuration and deploying Vmware-based systems for high-availability & efficiency, including vCenter Server, vSphere ESXi 5 & 6, vRealize & Horizon View. Manage the whole VMware infrastructure environment from build, development, test, production & DR across datacenters. Able to deploy Virtual machine & appliance across environment. Migrate existing physical & virtual servers from Hyper-V to VMware-based vSphere / vCenter system. Provide operational support to systems including but not limited to monitoring, performance issues, root cause analysis, optimization, right-sizing, building and patching ESXi hosts. Managing xSeries & Cisco UCS Infrastructure. Work with various vendors for support. Able to act as a leading representative for projects that are VMware, Hyper-V, Cisco UCS & other Virtualizartion platform related and provide updates to Project Managers. Respond to incoming tickets for requests and break fix. Able to respond promptly to inquiries via email, phone, ticketing system and other electronic communications. Proactively identify new ways to improve systems, processes and procedures. Create and maintain accurate documentation and run books Required Technical Skills: Must have 5+ years of experience deploying and managing VMware Infrastructure and 1+ years experience deploying Cisco UCS Infrastructure. Must have a working experience with RHEL Virtual Data Center operating system Must have experience working on Microsoft Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2012) services such as Active Directory & DNS. Must have experience in implementing Distributed Switch, Update Manager & Host Profile. Must have deep understanding and knowledge of VMware vSphere 5.x and 6.x Highly developed planning, design and implementation skills Detailed knowledge of Active Directory, Server and range of Microsoft related skills Experience in VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, vMotion, HA, DRS, Backup /Recovery Knowledge of network infrastructure is a plus Knowledge of Best Practice Design and Migration is a plus Virtualization Technologies (VMWare & Hyper-V) Knowledge of Storage Area Networks a plus Nice to Have Skills: Vrealize Vsphere NSX Other Skill Sets Amenable to work on a client-based schedule (dayshift/midshift) in IBM client site (Pasay City). Required Education: You should at least have a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
