Your Role and Responsibilities
Thorough applied technical knowledge of the fundamental concepts and technologies associated with AIX Operating Systems (Hardware and/or Software). Capable of performing installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery, and performance tuning. Professional knowledge related to incumbent's position, team, and department.
To be successful in this challenging and critical role, candidate will be expected to have the following: will possess many years of working experience in large - multi-site environments, expert knowledge of RHEL, in-depth knowledge and real world experience in automation, be able to troubleshoot & mitigate issues, working knowledge of databases, detailed oriented, a team player, and is willing to learn.
Role & Responsibilities:
Perform system operation and management according to standard operating procedure
Troubleshoot Servers Operating System software problem, simple to complex issues.
Monitor operating system level security patches
Install customer's approved patches on agreed changed windows, as needed on a mutually agreed schedule
Perform Daily health Check
Maintain audit records for privileged User ID approvals, verification, and revalidation
Perform request, incident, and change management record process
Install the different infrastructure Agents
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 5 years as RHEL/LINUX System Administrator with production support experience and with in-depth RHEL troubleshooting skills preferably with large clients with large infrastructure base.
Working knowledge of Linux internal components, and kick start
Experience in Information Technology, hardware, software.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Perl/Shell Scripting
Cloud Technologies/Computing
Experience on AIX and other operating systems.
vCenter, CEPH (Object storage), RH Satellite, VMWare vSphere, vRealize, Jenkins, Nexus Repository Manager,
Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet)
Red Hat Certified
Amenable to work on a client-based schedule (dayshift/midshift) in IBM client site (Makati City).
You should at least have a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
